Ozarks Genealogical Society

Search the Springfield-Greene County Library and OGS catalog. The default option is to search only in the Springfield-Greene County Library catalog, but you can select to search all libraries in the system or just the Ozarks Genealogical Society Library catalog.

Our OGS library is located at 534 W. Catalpa, Springfield, Missouri. It holds Missouri and other states' materials, periodicals, maps, family histories, and over one dozen special collections compiled by area researchers.  Click here to learn more about the special collections housed in the OGS Library.

The OGS library has a large collection of genealogical periodicals which are not indexed in the online catalog.  You can download a list of those periodicals here. Read this article about finding items of interest to you in your research here.

Library Hours:

Tuesday 6:00-8:30 p.m. (Closed on Tuesday evenings from the first of November through March 17, 2009 )

Wednesday 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Saturday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Closed holidays and holiday weekends.

2009 dates the OGS Library will be closed: January 3 & 6,  March 17 & 24, April 11, May 23, July 4, August 11, September 5 & 26, November 25 & 28, December 19 through January 6, 2010.
