Knowing who, when, and where is at the heart of genealogy, but as you fill out your tree you might find yourself asking "Why?" and "How?" about your ancestors. This presentation will delve into the kinds of primary and secondary sources you can use to add context to the lives you have been researching. John Cline, reference specialist at the Emerson Local History & Genealogy Center in St. Louis, will be presenting by Zoom.

In this lecture, Michael John Neill, a genealogist of over forty years’ experience, discusses effective techniques for utilizing the full-text search functionality at FamilySearch. Additionally Michael will teach how to create a search methodology and process and demonstrate how to determine what records are probably being included in the full-text search. Michael will present by Zoom.
